<B><FONT COLOR="blue">HERTFORDSHIRE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY</FONT></B>
The aim of our Society is to promote farming and agriculture and all associated skills, crafts, trades and professions. We achieve our aim through organising the annual Herts County Show, which is held on the Showground on the last May bank holiday weekend each year. We own 70 acres of land situated just 300m from Junction 9 of the M1 at Redbourn, Hertfordshire.
The Hertfordshire County Show can trace its origins back to 1879 when a ploughing match was arranged by the Hertfordshire Agricultural Society in the grounds of Hatfield House. Today the Show is still run by the Hertfordshire Agricultural Society but it is much, much more than a ploughing match.
